Description

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Builds sub-assemblies from raw materials according to shop orders.
  • Takes sub-assemblies and assembles with remaining parts to create completed repair kit.
  • Packages and labels completed repair kit.
  • Places completed repair kit on pallet which is transferred to finished goods.
  • Responsible for working at different work stations as production needs require.
  • Unload truck deliveries and place parts on shelves in material handling inventory.
  • Perform shipping duties such as wrapping/banding skids and loading trailers; count and record pallets.
  • Work within strict time constraints to fill full- or partial-truckload shipments to Miller Pipeline warehouses and customers.
  • Pull inventory, pack shipping containers or boxes, and prepare for shipment, e.g., use automatic and manual packaging machines, scales, and printing devices to calculate costs, apply labels, etc.
  • Receive UPS and FedEx shipments; deliver to appropriate person or areas within the corporate office.
  • Process small package shipments from the corporate office.
  • Track orders and document work.
  • Drive company vehicle to pick up mail from the post office.
  • Assist in keeping the material handling and surrounding grounds clean and orderly, e.g., trash pickup, sweeping.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibility. This job operates in a distribution setting. The role routinely uses manufacturing equipment  and assembly equiptment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday from 730 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.. Evening and other weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Certification

Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Current and valid driver’s license.

Preferred:
Experience

Required: 1+ year using forklift and pallet jacks safely and effectively.

Preferred: 3+ years related experience.

Functional / Technical Competency Requirements

Required: Strong communication skills. Dexterity and attention to detail. Impeccable material organization skills. Great team player.

Preferred: Able to be forklift certified. Knowledge of UPS Worldship.
